Actually, names cannot be copyrighted. Only trademarked, which costs money and no one person has the right to a specific name without a trademark.
That would be like finding someone with the same first name as you and throwing a fit about it and claiming they stole it.

No, you cannot copyright names.
Read the website, it's the official Copyright Office website's FAQ. The only thing you can do is Trademark and you have to pay to do that.
